birth. . ."
11. Luke 1:26-38
The
Annunciation - The Angel Gabriel announces to Mary that she will bear the
child, Jesus, before

well. my
frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully
wrought in the
lowest
parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being
yet unformed. And in Your book
they all
were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were
none of them.

Who

abroad the earth
by
Myself

the midwives
feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved
the
male children
alive.
4. Exodus 21:22-25
If men
fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet
no harm follows,
he shall
surely be punished accordingly as the woman's husband imposes on him; and he
shall pay as
the
judges determine. But if any harm follows, then you
shall give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for
tooth, hand
for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe
for stripe.
5. Amos 1:13-15
"For
three transgressions of the people of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn
away its punishment,
Because they
ripped open the women with child in Gilead, That they might enlarge their
territory.
But I will
kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, And it shall devour its palaces,
Amid shouting in the day
of battle, And
a tempest in the day of the whirlwind. Their king shall go into
captivity, He and his
princes
together," Says the LORD
-
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITY TO SAVE UNPROTECTED LIVES?
1. Proverbs 6:16-17
These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A
proud look, A lying
tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,
2. Matthew 24:19
But
woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those
days
3. Matthew 19:14
But
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid
them; for of such is the
kingdom of
heaven.
4. Matthew 25:34-40
Then the
King will say to those on His right hand, "Come, you blessed of My
Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared
for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you
gave Me
food; I was
thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I
was naked and
you clothed
Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.
hen the
righteous will
answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or
thirsty and
give You
drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You
in, or naked and clothe You? Or
when did we
see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' And the King
will answer and say to
them,
"Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of
these My brethren,
you did it to
Me.
5. Deuteronomy 30:19
I
call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before
you life and death,
blessing and
cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may
live;
IF SOCIETY SHOWS A
TENDENCY TO CHOOSE DEATH, WHAT RESPONSIBILITY DOES THE CHURCH HAVE? TO
COMPROMISE?
1. Ezekiel 3:1-19 (Ezekiel the
prophet as watchman)
Now
it came to pass at the end of seven days that the Word of the LORD came to
me, saying,
"Son
of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a
word from
My mouth, and
give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, 'You
shall surely die,' and
you give him
no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his
life,
that same
wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your
hand. Yet, if you
warn the
wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked
way, he shall die
in his
iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
2. John 10:9-16
I am
the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out
and find pasture.
The
thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have
come that they may
have life, and
that they may have it more abundantly. "I am the good shepherd.
The good
shepherd gives
His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the
shepherd, one who does not
own the sheep,
sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches
the
sheep and
scatters them.
The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about
the
sheep. I
am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As
the Father
knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.
And other sheep I
have which are
not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and
there will
be one flock
and one shepherd.
