name him John.  He will be your joy and delight and many will rejoice at his birth. . ."

       11.  Luke 1:26-38
The Annunciation - The Angel Gabriel announces to Mary that she will bear the child, Jesus, before

well. my frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the
lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.  And in Your book
they all were written,  the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

        5.  Isaiah 44:2
Thus says the LORD who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you . . .

        6.  Isaiah 44:24
Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb: "I am the LORD,
Who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth
                 by Myself

  • The Spirit is in the Unborn and Responds to God.

      1.  Ecclesiastes 11:5

         4.  Exodus 21:22-25
If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows,

the judges determine.  But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for
tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

         5.  Amos 1:13-15
"For three transgressions of the people of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment,
Because they ripped open the women with child in Gilead, That they might enlarge their territory.
But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, And it shall devour its palaces,  Amid shouting in the day
of battle, And a tempest in the day of the whirlwind. Their king shall go into captivity, He and his
                princes together,"  Says the LORD

you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.  hen the
righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and
give You drink?   When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?   Or
when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'   And the King will answer and say to
them, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My  brethren,
                you did it to Me.

         5.  Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death,
                blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

  • IF SOCIETY SHOWS A TENDENCY TO CHOOSE DEATH, WHAT RESPONSIBILITY DOES THE CHURCH HAVE?  TO COMPROMISE?

       1.  Ezekiel 3:1-19  (Ezekiel the prophet as watchman)
                N
ow it came to pass at the end of seven days that the Word of the LORD came to me, saying,

"Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from
My mouth, and give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and
you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life,
that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you
warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor  from his wicked way, he shall die
in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may
have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  "I am the good shepherd. The good
shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not
own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the
sheep and scatters them.  The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the
sheep.  I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.  As the
    Father

knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.  And other sheep I
have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will
be one flock and one shepherd.
