Note from Administrator:
Thank
you to the members and attendees of Faith Lutheran Church for your love,
prayers and generous support. Without your obedience to God, Faith Christian
School would not be here today offering Christian education to the families
of the Detroit Lakes area. What a special and long lasting gift you have and
are giving to the students of our school. I want to say a big "thank
you" and let you know how grateful and blessed we are for your
commitment to this school.
As I encounter different
problems or valleys in life, I ask myself, "What is God trying to teach
me through this difficulty? What is it that I am to learn personally, with
others, or how am I to be an example to others while going through this
difficulty?" With the deficit that our school has had the last few
months, I ask myself this same question and I challenge you to do the same.
"What is God teaching the members of Faith Lutheran Church and the
families of Faith Christian School? What can I/we learn personally from this
experience, what can we learn as a church/school, and how can I/we be a
godly example to those around us?"
From what I can see, God
is again and again showing us His faithfulness as we go through each month
and the monies we need are provided through various sources and people. GOD
IS FAITHFUL.
Secondly, HIS TIMING IS
PERFECT, and He will continue to provide through and with whomever He
directs. Sure, I would have liked to receive a $50,000 check in December to
know all the expenses were covered for the year, but God wants to provide in
His timing and teach us valuable lessons through the wait. After all, isn’t
that what the purpose of our school is too? We want to provide our students
with the resources they need in life, but also teach them how to use them,
when to use them, and the importance of having them in their lives. Thirdly,
we can’t just sit by waiting for God to provide, but we need to move ahead
as if He has already provided what we need. Isn’t that what FAITH is? We
need to continue the planning process, recruitment of students, and prepare
for the next year. Fourth, we need to allow God to work through others. This
is OBEDIENCE on their part and on ours. Faith Christian School is a great
Christian organization to support, and if we ask people to support us
through a financial gift, they need to be obedient and follow God’s
direction if He leads them to give. If we don’t ask them, we don’t
provide them with the opportunity to give, be a blessing to the school, and
be obedient to God. Finally, I’ve seen the COMMITMENT and PASSION that
Faith Lutheran Church has for the school and how you view the school as a
mission. When the going gets tough, you are committed to the school you
started and you see the importance of that commitment. What an honor and
privilege to work for a church that has that dedication and commitment.
Thank you.
* Have a blessed and joyous Easter as we celebrate
the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. *
